After witnessing the death of her family at the hands of an Owl Witch, Renata escaped to the streets of Mexico City and found refuge in the basement of a Lucha Libre arena. Plagued by recurring nightmares and unable to sleep, Renata watched from the rafters as the Luchadores battled and was captivated by their bravery in combat.

Determined to no longer live in fear, Renata spent her days in the empty building working in the ring to mimic the moves of the wrestlers she’d studied so closely. Accidentally discovered by the famous Luchador, Oráculo, Renata’s natural skill and dedication were so impressive that he agreed to train her in the art of Lucha Libre.

Reborn as the skull-faced Luchadora, Renata Calavera, she left Mexico City on a mission to destroy the Owl Witch and avenge the death of her family. Although Renata’s travels have brought her great success, she remains haunted by the demons of her past and tormented with the knowledge that her quest for vengeance may ultimately lead to her own destruction.
